 The crude map below shows just how remote Rapid City is from other sound
congregations. Sound congregations being defined as those churches that
strictly adhere to the scriptures for authority. For example, a sound
congregation would not use instrumental instruments in worship since singing is
all that is authorized (Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16). A sound congregation would
not support institutions from the church treasury since no authority exists in
scripture for such a practice. A sound congregation would not support
social gatherings from the church treasury since such gatherings were condemned
by the Apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 11:22, 34).
